Ally Pally 2023 /24: International, Tour and Knockout Qualifiers
The global qualifying race for places at Alexandra Palace has already begun, with 21 non order of merit players qualifying already securing places in the world’s biggest darts event.
Fallon Sherrock, Mikuru Suzuki and Norman Madhoo were the latest to join the list of International Qualifiers and tier tour ranking place winners.
Sherrock and Suzuki sealed their qualification via the PDC Women’s Series, finishing second and third respectively on the Order of Merit.
Meanwhile, Guyana’s Madhoo sealed his qualification via the inaugural Championship Darts Latin America and Caribbean Tour, after finishing top of the CDLC Order of Merit. Madhoo returns after competing at the World Darts Championship in 2004, 2010 and 2011.
The 32 International Representatives will be joined by 32 PDC ProTour Order of Merit Qualifiers in the first round, while the top 32 players on the PDC Order of Merit will enter in round two.
Usually the final qualifying tournament is for Tour Card holders. It takes place on Monday, November 27. Three starting spots for the World Darts Championship are up for grabs. Women’s World Matchplay winner Beau Greaves – who topped the Order of Merit – has chosen not to compete at Alexandra Palace, therefore her place has been allocated to the Tour Card Holder Qualifier
Normally there are two, but because Luke Littler and Gian van Veen (finalists of the Youth World Championship) have already qualified for the World Championship, one starting spot is added to the so-called Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
