Chris Dobey – A Modern Hero of Darts

Englishman Chris Dobey has been making his mark on the darts scene for years with his precision and composure at the oche. Born in Bedlington, Northumberland, he fell in love with darts as a boy, inspired by legends like Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld. His early success came in the BDO, and in 2015 he joined the PDC by earning a tour card at Q-School.

Since then, he has achieved notable results:

• 2019 – Semi-finals of the Players Championship Finals and World Grand Prix

• 2022 – European Championship semi-finalist

• 2023 – Winner of The Masters and World Matchplay quarter-finalist

• 2024 – Quarter-finals at the World Series of Darts Finals and PDC World Championship

Off the stage, Dobey enjoys a quiet family life, is a passionate Newcastle United supporter, and loves football. He plays with custom-made Target darts, designed for maximum control and consistency in his throws.

Ambitious and focused, Dobey aims for more major finals and to strengthen his position among the world’s best, remaining both an inspiration to young players and a key figure in the global darts community.
