To mark 50 years of dedication to crafting darts equipment, Shot wanted to create something special for its global community of players. Warrior Kapene represents Shot’s roots as well as the spirit of the future – a fusion of heritage and everything still to come.
Kapene means “captain” – a tribal leader who will guide us into the next 50 years. Inspired by Shot’s New Zealand roots, this dart pays tribute to the warrior within each of us. Shot commissioned Tauranga carver Whare Thompson to create the Ta Moko design, a traditional Māori tattoo motif that runs the full length of the barrel and continues onto the flight.
Forged through fierce competition and decades of refinement since 1970, Warrior Kapene is ready to lead Shot’s global community into the next 50 years. The straight, centre-weighted barrel features a pronounced shark grip along its entire length. Scalloped sections at the front and rear give this 90% tungsten set two clearly defined grip zones, providing a powerful push on release and a reliable reference point for finger placement.
The barrel is protected by an ultra-fine Titanium coating and decorated with a laser-engraved Ta Moko design, which is repeated on the flight. It is now equipped with Shot’s threaded Turbo Point system, allowing you to easily change the points to suit your preference.
